Channel7 to launch 'Power Game' with Ajay Jadeja

MUMBAI: Looking beyond the gentleman's game - cricket in a totally different style, is what Channel7 is aiming at. All geared up to launch a premium show on sports, the channel is capitalising on its already existing cricketing expert on board, Ajay Jadeja.

Starting 10 December, Jadeja will host a new weekend show -- Power Game.

In a view to break the monotony of the four walls and studio based interaction, the channel has designed Power Game to go outdoors to cash in on other sports, says Channel7 COO Piyush Jain.

Be it snooker, golf, badminton, bowling, the host will also play the game with the CEOs. At present, the channel has interviewed CEO of Dominoz and the managing director of Emami, among others. The show has been designed wherein host Jadeja will interact with the CEOs of the corporate world on their favourite game. The show will provide an innovative package, which includes excitement and interaction with the CEOs discussing the business of the game as well as the issues relevant to the game, Jain adds.

In the past, various Indian cricketers hosted special shows, including Saurav Ganguly for ESPN Cricket Show on the sports network ESS, business channel CNBC India had launched a programme in 2003 called Business of Cricket (BOC), wherein cricketer Sanjay Manjrekar co-hosted the show along with Anuradha Sengupta, Navjot Singh Sidhu hosted the show, Cricket Controversies on NDTV channel.
