MUMBAI: Oprah Winfrey will not be leaving television anytime soon. The acknowledged queen of the talk show genre will be able to do something rare - celebrate 25 years of her show.

Winfrey has cut a new three-year deal with King World Productions to continue her talk show through the 2010-11 season.

Till last year there had been talk of Winfrey possibly calling it a day. However, in May 2003 she extended her contract till 2007-08.

In a statement Winfrey said, "The thought of taking the show to its 25th anniversary is both exhilarating and challenging. The years ahead will allow me to continue to grow along with my viewers and will give my production company the time and opportunity to use the show as a launching pad to create and develop additional projects and potential future shows."

The 50-year-old Winfrey routinely appears on lists of Hollywood's most powerful figures. Last year, she became the first black women to be included on Forbes magazine's tally of billionaires.
