NGC will take 'Expeditions To The Edge'

MUMBAI: National Geographic Channel International (NGCI) will take Expeditions To The Edge this year.

NGCI has purchased the international rights to the 13 episode one-hour show Expeditions to the Edge. The show had been produced by GRB Entertainment for NGC US.

The dramatic adventure series that showcases expeditions where something went terribly wrong. It depicts and examines the decision-making processes each explorer had to initiate and the unbelievable acts of heroism performed in order to survive. These expeditions set records, caused controversy, and changed lives. The show looks at these events through the eyes of survivors, family, and experts who examine what went wrong and share the inspiration of what went right.

NGCI executive VP content Sydney Suissa said, "Each episode is built around compelling human stories and the series is really about the human drive to explore and overcome obstacles. In a way, it's also what the National Geographic brand has always been about."
