HBO's movie fiesta in December

MUMBAI: Movie channel HBO is looking to finish the year on a high.

On its block The Big Saturday the channel will air The Bourne Supremacy. This is the sequel to The Bourne identity. Matt Damon is back as the assassin, Jason Bourne. The film is based on a Robert Ludlum novel and makes good use of exotic international locations. Readers may be interested to know that the first 15 minutes of this film were shot in Goa. Goa was chosen as a location because it is one of the few places in the world where Bourne can go for a holiday and not be noticed.

On 11 December 2005 at 8 pm the journey continues on HBO's Big One. The Big One presents The Lord Of The Ring: The Two Towers. In the second part of the LOTR trilogy Frodo Baggins played by Elijah Wood and Samwise Gamgee played by Sean Astin continue their long and perilous journey to Mordor to cast the ring into the fire from where it was forged and thus win the battle for Middle Earth.

HBO will also present what it calls the original premiere movie event Angels In America on 5 and 12 December 2005 after the 9 pm movie. This epic fantasia of interwoven Aids-related stories features an all-star cast including Oscar winners Al Pacino, Meryl Streep and Emma Thompson. Angels In America manages to be both touching and funny as it presents a slice of life during the 1980's Reagan era.
