Santosh Jain elected CCCA president for 43rd time

NEW DELHI: In a record of sorts, the veteran distributor Santosh Singh Jain who is already in the Limca Book of Records was today re-elected President of the Central Circuit Cine Association for the 43rd time with a thumping majority.

At the 58th Annual General Meeting of the Association in Amravati, the Jain panel won 14 seats of the Executive Committee for the year 2011-2013.

In the first meeting of the Executive Committee of the elected members, Kamal R. Kasat was elected the Vice President, Jitendra Jain became the Honorary General Secretary, Nand Kishore Jalani became the Honorary Joint Secretary and Sanjay S. Surana became the Honorary Treasurer.

The CCCA is the sole representative organisation of the film Industry comprising Film Distributors and Film Exhibitors of the Central Circuit – the States of Madhya Pradesh, Chhattisgarh, Rajasthan and Vidarbh and Khandesh Regions of the State of Maharashtra.

Sixteen members were elected to the Executive – four each from distribution and exhibition segments from C. P. Berar region, two each from distribution and exhibition segment from C. I. Region and two each from distribution and exhibition segments from the Rajasthan region.
