Rishi leaves Hollywood stunt directors astonished

MUMBAI: Rishi Kapoor left Hollywood action directors Tom Struthers and John Street ofInception and The Dark Knight Rises fame, stunned. At 60, veteran Bollywood actor is believed to have performed a brilliantly executed action sequence on the sets of D-Day.

He performed the stunt without any training or rehearsals. Kapoor plays the character of Goldman, a most wanted criminal. He was shooting for an action sequence with Irrfan for the film. The action stunt involved Kapoor to crawl on the ground and to engage in some intense hand to hand combat.

According to media reports, he surprised the action director duo with his quickness and accuracy. The scene ended up looking real and well-executed, leaving Struthers and Street amazed.

D-Day, produced by DAR Motion Pictures and Emmay Entertainment, is directed by Nikhil Advani. It also features Arjun Rampal, Shruti Haasan, Huma Qureshi, Akash Dahiya, Sree Swara and Chandan Roy Sanyal.

The movie is slated to hit theatres on 19 July.
