Puri Jagannath mulls sequel of Bbuddah Hoga Tera Baap

MUMBAI: Just four days after the release of Bbuddah Hoga Tera Baap, director Puri Jagannath has decided to make the film a franchise and has requested Amitabh Bachchan to endorse it.

Reportedly, Jagannath met Bachchan two days after the film‘s release with the suggestion to do a sequel and make the film a franchise.Initially, the veteran actor did not take the suggestion too seriously but later left the decisions of taking the film forward on the director.

Jagannath got the inclination to make a sequel after he received innumerable messages and phone calls asking to make another film with the Bbuddah character. "I think a Bbuddah franchise is a wonderful idea. I‘m working on it," the director is reported to have said.

Besides, Jagannath is all set to launch his next bilingual (Hindi and Telugu) film, The Business Man, with Abhishek Bachchan in the lead in the Hindi version. The proposed film, produced by R Venkat under the banner of RR Movie Makers, will have Mahesh Babu play the lead in the Telugu version. The film will start rolling on 26 July.

The film‘s protagonist plays the role of a businessman but he‘s not the regular type seen in our life. The film has the tagline, ‘Guns Don‘t Need Agreements‘.

Interestingly, the same title and tag line was earlier announced with Suriya in the lead which had Puri Jagannath as director and Ram Gopal Varma as the producer.
