MUMBAI: Walt Disney Television International (India) (WDTI-I) has putting its ad sales team in place. The latest to join is Star India's manager Swati Shetty who will head the western region.
Shetty will be reporting to WDTI-I ad sales director Sanjay Reddy. According to reliable industry sources, Shetty put in her papers at Star in December 2004 and joined Disney yesterday (17 January). She will be incharge of ad sales of The Disney Channel and Toon Disney Channel in the western region.

When contacted by Indiantelevision.com, Reddy offered no comments. Despite repeated attempts, Shetty was unavailable for comment.

In her four and a half year stint with Star, Shetty started as an executive with Star World and then moved on to sell Channel [V] for the western region. Most recently, she was handling Star Plus and Star Utsav. Shetty has also had short stints with Intergold and Sahara.
