MUMBAI: GroupM's mOne is looking at strengthening its core team and has taken the first step towards that by appointing Vishal Chinchankar as director. Chinchankar will be based at mOne's Mumbai office. mOne caters to the Internet, mobile and digital media space.
 
 
Chinchankar, who took charge as of today (10 January) will be reporting to mOne business director Tushar Vyas.
 
 
Chinchankar comes to mOne from Mediaturf, where he spent three years as senior manager. Prior to that he was with Myiris.com. He was also involved in space selling at Business World and Indian Express for five years.
 
 
Speaking to indiantelevision.com about the new appointment, Vyas says, "We are strengthening our team in all the cities as part of our expansion plans. The Internet and mobile space is growing and so is the business. We are also looking at hiring more people in the near future."
On the other hand, Chinchankar says, "This was something exciting that came my way and was an excellent opportunity for me to prove myself, whether it is in the online planning, buying or implementation areas at mOne."
