• Sony Music acquires the digital music rights of the romantic drama

    Mumbai: Sony Music Entertainment has bagged the worldwide digital distribution rights of the much awaited Yash Raj Film, ?Ishaqzaade?. The movie stars debutant Arjun Kapoor, prolific film maker Boney Kapoor?s son and the feisty Parineeti Chopra, who was last seen in the caper Ladies Vs Ricky Bahl. Habib Faisal, the award winning director of Do Dooni Chaar and an award winning writer (Band Baaja Baaraat) is at the helm of ?Ishaqzaade? which is a romantic flick that revolves around the story of two people who are born to hate, destined to love!

    Talented music director Amit Trivedi and eminent lyricist Kausar Munir have filled the music of this masala entertainer with earthy flavors.

    There are five original songs & two remixes in the album encompassing a wide array of themes. The track ?Aafaton Ke Parinde? will be digitally released on 4th April 2012, followed by digital release of the full album on April 12. With this alliance Sony Music will leverage its entire digital delivery bandwidth for offering audio and audio visual music content of this film on mobile devices and other mobile & internet based platforms.

    MUMBAI : Comedy Central, India?s first 24*7 English Comedy channel, has raced ahead to the No. 1 spot in the English Entertainment category, within just the ninth week of its launch by amassing a substantial 22% market share, moving ahead of established players like Star World, AXN, Zee Caf?, among others.

    The English entertainment space is populated with 8 players and the advent of Comedy Central in India marked the entry of the 9th player. According to TAM, Comedy Central in its ninth week of launch garnered 22% market share in the SEC AB, 15-34, 5 metros (Delhi, Mumbai, Kolkata, Bangalore and Hyderabad). The English Entertainment pack now has a new leader with Comedy Central at 22%, followed by AXN at 21% and Star World at 16% (viewing hours - 6 am to 1 am).     MUMBAI: Reliance Home Video & Games has released the Shah Rukh Khan-starrer Don 2 on Home Video.

    Having conquered the Asian underworld, Don (Khan) now has his sights set on European domination. In his way are the bosses of the existing European underworld and all law enforcement agencies.

    The action shifts from Kuala Lumpur to Berlin as Don must avoid assassination or arrest, whichever comes first, in order for his plan to succeed.

    Presented by Excel Entertainment and Reliance Entertainment Don 2 is an action crime film directed by Farhan Akhtar and co-written by him along with Ameet Mehta and Amrish Shah.

    The film is a sequel to the 2006 film Don: The Chase Begins Again and also stars Priyanka Chopra, Om Puri, Lara Dutta and Kunal Kapoor. Hrithik Roshan appears in a cameo appearance.

    Don 2 went on to break multiple box-office records in India and overseas, including highest opening day grosser ever on a non-holiday Friday and the highest grossing Bollywood film overseas in 2011.

    The film has been specially re-edited for the Home Video format and includes footage not seen in the theatrical version.

    The DVD comes in a special two disc edition offering bonus material which provides the viewer with insight into making of the film. The DVD also contains an exclusive music video for Mujhko Pehchaan Lo track.

    The film is available on Blu-ray for Rs.799, DVD Rs.299 and VCD Rs.115 each.

    MUMBAI: After a hiatus of five years, the Don has resurfaced yet again and Zee Cinema is taking viewers along on the action packed chase as Don 2 premieres on the channel this week! With this sequel picking up where the first film ended, the hunt for Don begins in Malaysia, later moving to Europe through the picturesque locales of Thailand, Malaysia, Zurich and Berlin.

    In keeping with the theme of the movie, the channel will engage viewers in a riveting game that has them on the lookout for Don?s hiding place. Through the seven breaks that air during the telecast of the film, viewers will be given a set of clues to find Don in relation to the placement of his enemies and allies on a 3x3 grid.
