    MUMBAI: Disney Channel?s original live-action series, Best of Luck Nikki, is set to end season 2 with New Year special show on 1 January at 10 am.

    Best of Luck Nikki is an Indian adaptation of the American show Good Luck Charlie. The family comedy centers around the everyday trials, tribulations and triumphs of a busy family of six.

    The viewer gets to witness what happens in the Singh household through their joyful misadventures as they learn to take care of Nikki and bond together as a family.

    In the New Year?s special episode, Himani and Dolly are in Jaipur for a weekend trip; the boys- Sunny and Rohan, are having a blast at home. They are even more thrilled when they hear that their mother?s arrival has been delayed owing to a curfew being announced in the country. The boys? party comes to an end, when Himani?s parents, show up at the Singh House, and they realise Nikki is missing.

    MUMBAI: The National Rugby League (NRL) has secured a new international television deal with IMG Media that will guarantee access to key markets including the UK, USA, Asia and the Pacific.

    The five-year agreement with IMG Media will ensure fans overseas have worldwide access to all Telstra Premiership matches as well as State of Origin, Test matches played in Australia, AAMI City-Country and the Harvey Norman All Stars.

    The international rights do not include NRL properties in Australia and New Zealand, nor do they include World Cup matches or Tests overseas.

    The partnership covers free-to-air television, subscription television, IPTV, mobile, in-ship, in-flight and gaming rights, as well as access to the NRL Films archive.

    IMG Media SVP Head of Asia Pacific Chris Guinness was committed to increasing Rugby League coverage across international markets. ?We are very excited about extending our relationship with the NRL over the next five years.     MUMBAI: Eros International Media has fixed Rs 200 per share as the the floor price for the offer for sale of 2.8 per cent equity owned by its promoters to bring down promoter holding to the maximum allowed 75 per cent.

    Eros? promoters will sell 2.57 million shares of Rs 10 each representing 2.8 per cent of the equity share capital to meet the minimum public shareholding requirement.

    The sale will commence on 20 December at 9.15 am and close the same day at 3.30 pm.

    The listing regulations require a public company to be owned at least 25 per cent by non-promoter shareholders, which is aimed at broadening the shareholding and bringing about greater transparency in corproate affairs.

    The promoter group holds 77.8 per cent stake in Eros International Media with Eros Worldwide FZ LLC owning 54.15 per cent and Eros Digital Pvt Ltd 23.64 per cent.

    Institutional investors hold 8.56 per cent while non-institutional investors hold the remaining 22.2 per cent in Eros International. Indus Capital Advisors (UK) (3.99 per cent) and IDFC Sterling Equity Fund (1.41 per cent) are top non-promoter shareholders in the company.

  • Home ministry to look into allegation of misuse of national anthem by TV channel

    NEW DELHI: The Information and Broadcasting Ministry has forwarded to the Home Ministry a representation alleging misuse of the national anthem by Colors TV channel for promotion of a reality show.

    The representation had been received from advocate Jeetender Gupta, alleging that Colors TV channel is misusing national anthem for promoting a reality show in theatres, Information and Broadcasting Minister Manish Tewari has said.

    Gupta had also filed a writ petition in the High Court. "The High Court disposed off the case by stating that the representation made to the Ministry of Information and Broadcasting should be looked into by the concerned ministry - the Ministry of Home Affairs," Tewari said.
