MUMBAI: It?s time now to blow the candles, cut the cake and sing out loud - A Very Very Happy Birthday to Tom & Jerry, the world?s most popular cat and mouse on their 70th birthday! The iconic characters today interacted with the media and the kids along with the stand up comedian Vir Das. They played pranks with the celebrities and kids present for their birthday celebration on the eve of April Fool?s day. The event saw the presence of cr?me de la cr?me of Delhi with their kids. Some of the names present at the celebration were Monisha Bajaj, Kanchan Kapoor, Jattin Kocchhar, Payal Kapur, Priya Jain, Payal Kapoor, Kalyany Chawla, Preeti S. Kapoor, Tanisha Mohan, Charu Parashar, Nidhi Jain, Payal Sen, Nida Mahmood, Garima Jain, Hemant and Nandita, Juhi Singh and Alia Madhu. India?s iconic Cartoonist Sudhir Tailang along with Monica Tata presented the Lifetime Achievement Award to Tom and Jerry. Kids were thrilled to see their favorite cartoons performing live for them and interacting with them.

As part of the celebration, a special song for Tom & Jerry is being aired on Cartoon Network and two exciting ?prank? themed on-air contests were rolled out. ?TJ Top 10? contest invited kids to vote (sms to? 58558) for their favourite and prankiest Tom & Jerry shows and the first 250 respondents will win the ultimate TJ prank kits and exclusive TJ school bags. The top 10 episodes with the maximum votes will be aired as part of the T&J special on TJ Day - 1st April. Further, Cartoon Network will announce the winners of ?TJ Tom? contest on April 1st. ?TJ Tom? contest had invited kids to send in their jokes or suggest gags they would love to play on Tom. The ultimate joke or gag will get featured as a special animated gag on Cartoon Network on TJ Day - April 1 along with a chance to win a Sony PSP.
