Allied Media ups BalaKrishna as COO
 Allied Media, the media buying and planning arm of Percept Ltd, has elevated PM BalaKrishna to the position of chief operating officer.

Viacom18 to launch two niche and HD channels
 The niche channels will be rolled out either by this year-end or next yea; the company slips into the red as Q1 operating expense jumps 22% while revenue is up 16% to Rs2.76bn.

TV18 posts Q1 net profit of Rs230mn from news biz
 Operating revenue grows 146 per cent to Rs1.28billion from Rs520million, while expenditure doubles to Rs1.09billion; net debt of company stands at Rs6.70billion.

Eros' Q1 net zooms on strong movie slate
 Consolidated net profit stands at Rs233.3million, up 63.3 per cent in the corresponding quarter of the previous fiscal; total income jumps 26.8 per cent to Rs1.62billion.
