POGO, Cartoon Network and Discovery Kids line up Halloween and Diwali specials
Big Picture movies, spooky specials, new episodes of The Jungle Book and Teen Titans Go!, and a brand-new Titoo movie light up the screen this October and November
MUMBAI: Trick or treat, then diyas and mithai. For India’s children, the festive calendar has two big acts, and three channels have written a script for both.
On 26 October 2026, POGO, Cartoon Network and Discovery Kids announced a line-up that turns every celebration into an adventure. As Halloween creeps in at the end of October and the festival of lights glows into November, the channels are rolling out Big Picture movies, frightfully fun episodes, fresh adventures with fan favourites and a brand-new movie premiere. The aim is to give kids and families plenty of reasons to gather around the screen.
Here is the analysis. The schedule is built in two clear waves, a spooky one and a sparkling one, and each channel plays to its strengths. POGO leans on its home-grown heroes, Cartoon Network brings new episodes of two much-loved shows, and Discovery Kids fires up a fresh movie premiere. That gives families a reason to tune in on different days and at different times, from morning movie slots to a Sunday premiere.
The Halloween wave comes first:
POGO, 31 October from 9.30am onwards. Dholakpur’s laddoo-powered hero Chhota Bheem and supercop Little Singham face mysterious happenings, evil forces and supernatural challenges. The line-up features the telefeatures Chhota Bheem: The Haunted Doll and Little Singham: Shaitan Ka Toofan, along with the Big Picture movies Chhota Bheem in Ghost World and Little Singham: Ghost Gadbad. No spirit is too spooky and no curse too creepy for these two, in a Halloween where courage beats every scare.
Cartoon Network, Halloween Week, 26 to 31 October at 6.30pm. Halloween-themed episodes of Teen Titans Go! bring costume chaos, ghostly encounters and a pumpkin man who is more trick than treat.
Discovery Kids, Halloween Adventure, 31 October. A spook-tacular day of mischief, madness and laugh-out-loud moments. Everyone’s favourite shararati Titoo and the jugaad-loving Fukrey Boyzzz bring their signature brand of chaos to the spookiest night of the year.
Then comes the Diwali wave, as homes light up with diyas, rangolis and boxes of mithai:
POGO Diwali Heroes Wali, every day from 6 to 13 November, from 9.30am onwards. A dhamakedaar line-up of Big Picture movies starring Chhota Bheem and Little Singham. With extra laddoos for Bheem and extra action for Singham, the movies turn every Diwali week morning into a festival of fun, adventure and action.
Cartoon Network, Bada Bing Bada Bam!, every day from 6 to 13 November, from 9.30am onwards. New episodes of The Jungle Book see Mowgli, Baloo, Bagheera and the rest of the jungle family set off on fresh adventures. The Titans crash the party with new episodes of Teen Titans Go! from Sunday, 8 November, at 11.30am onwards, bringing their trademark comedy to the festive weekend.
Discovery Kids, Titoo and the Rise of Roach Raja, premiering 8 November at 12.30pm. When a zombie apocalypse strikes and his mother turns into a Lauki Monster, Titoo must outwit the terrifying Roach Raja with one final crazy plan to save his family and the world.
Look closely and a pattern emerges. Every slot is anchored in a familiar face, whether it is a hero from Dholakpur, a jungle family or a group of teenage superheroes. Children return to characters they love, and parents get a schedule they can plan around. The tone is also pitched at the whole household. The mix of Halloween chills and Diwali cheer, with words like dhamaka, mithai and patakha, speaks the festive language that Indian families use at home.
The approach is also smart on timing. Morning movie slots on weekdays and a mid-day premiere on a Sunday give children something to look forward to throughout the festive fortnight. The premiere of Titoo and the Rise of Roach Raja, with its zombie-meets-Lauki-Monster premise, adds a dash of humour to a story that keeps the family at its heart.
From spooky Halloween to dhamakedaar Diwali delights, the three channels have the festive season covered. So grab the popcorn, light the diyas and get ready for a season packed with laughter and adventure.
