MUMBAI: Yash Raj Films has appointed Zena Kotwal as head of management and strategy for YRF Talent, its talent management arm, in a hire that instantly raises the stakes for an agency already sitting on one of Bollywood’s most closely watched rosters. Kotwal arrives with over 18 years in talent management under her belt, including more than a decade at Matrix, one of India’s most respected management firms, where she worked closely with names like Vicky Kaushal, Karan Johar, Farhan Akhtar and Triptii Dimri.

The appointment is a shrewd one for YRF Talent, which currently manages an eclectic mix spanning established stars such as Rani Mukerji, Ayushmann Khurrana and Sonam Kapoor alongside a fast rising younger cohort including Ahaan Panday, Aneet Padda, Sharvari, Vaani Kapoor and Shreya Chaudhry.
