Swapnil Deshmukh appointed head of operations at Omnicom Global Solutions
Deshmukh joins OGS from KPMG India, bringing over 15 years of consulting experience
MUMBAI: Swapnil Deshmukh has joined Omnicom Global Solutions (OGS) as senior vice president, operations, marking a move into a leadership role at the Omnicom Group company.
Deshmukh announced the appointment on LinkedIn, saying he was excited to be part of the growing OGS team and to help scale its growth journey. He is based in Pune and took up the role in August 2026.
He joins OGS after more than eight years at KPMG India, where he most recently served as associate partner. In that role, Deshmukh led the national Digital Government Advisory practice, with responsibility for large-scale digital transformation and enterprise resource planning initiatives.
Before becoming associate partner in April 2023, Deshmukh was technical director at KPMG India, leading the firm’s Pune region for its Government and Public Sector practice. He also held the position of associate director, business advisory services, where he worked on IT transformation and government-sector advisory assignments.
His earlier experience includes a stint at EY as manager, business advisory services, where he worked on IT transformation, governance and process improvement projects involving government clients.
Deshmukh began his career at Larsen & Toubro, holding roles including assistant general manager, Flight Systems business unit, and chief of staff to the chairman and managing director. He later served as delivery head at Raj Technologies, overseeing project delivery, client engagement, vendor management and commercial operations.
Academically, Deshmukh has completed management programmes at the Indian Institute of Management Ahmedabad and the Indian School of Business. His education and professional experience span advanced analytics, leadership, business advisory, digital transformation and operations.
His appointment comes as Omnicom Global Solutions continues to build its global delivery and operations capabilities. Deshmukh’s background in managing complex programmes, transformation initiatives and large teams positions him to take on the operational leadership mandate at OGS.
With his move from consulting into a global solutions organisation, Deshmukh’s next chapter will focus on translating his transformation and operations experience into scale and execution at Omnicom Global Solutions.
