MUMBAI: SIMCA Advertising is giving its growth story plenty of outdoor visibility, with revenue more than doubling in the first half of FY27 as it expands beyond traditional hoardings into digital screens and airport advertising. The mediatech and digital out-of-home (DOOH) advertising company reported revenue from operations of Rs 109.24 crore for the six months ended 30 September 2026, up 124.3 per cent year on year from Rs 48.71 crore.

Profit after tax (PAT) rose 60.3 per cent to Rs 12.14 crore, compared with Rs 7.57 crore in the corresponding period last year, according to the company’s financial results announced following a board meeting.

The figures point to a sharp increase in business scale, with revenue for H1 FY27 already equivalent to approximately 86 per cent of SIMCA’s entire FY26 revenue. The company had reported revenue of Rs 127.22 crore in FY26, a 74.7 per cent increase, while PAT more than doubled to Rs 16.62 crore.

The latest performance comes as SIMCA looks to widen its advertising footprint through premium locations, digital capabilities and new client mandates. Its expansion into airport advertising through a deal involving Shirdi Airport marks a move into high-footfall transit locations, adding another category to a portfolio built around outdoor media assets.

For advertisers seeking visibility beyond conventional billboards, airports offer an additional setting to reach travellers. SIMCA’s entry into the segment could open up opportunities for new advertising formats, although the introduction of digital-led formats will depend on applicable approvals and infrastructure requirements.

The company has also secured sizeable mandates from leading financial services clients, with business worth approximately Rs 35.26 crore earlier in FY27. It said the mandates, alongside the addition of prominent brands to its portfolio, reflect demand for integrated advertising solutions and confidence in its execution capabilities.

Commenting on the results, SIMCA Advertising chairman, managing director and promoter Fahim Batliwala said the growth reflected the expanding scale of the business, its client relationships and investments in media infrastructure. He also pointed to advertisers’ demand for premium locations, greater visibility and more dynamic ways to engage consumers.

Batliwala described the Shirdi Airport deal as an important milestone in the company’s expansion, giving it access to a new advertising segment and strengthening its presence across strategic transit locations. He added that SIMCA’s focus was on developing a technology-enabled media network rather than simply increasing the number of advertising assets.

The company currently operates 222 media assets, comprising 80 traditional static hoardings and 142 DOOH advertising slots. While static hoardings provide established outdoor visibility, digital inventory allows advertisers to change messaging, run multiple creative executions and adapt campaigns more flexibly.

That mix is central to SIMCA’s effort to build a broader media infrastructure business. Digital screens can support more dynamic campaigns, while premium physical locations give brands access to audiences in high-visibility environments. The airport expansion adds another potential avenue for the company to develop its offering, subject to the facilities and permissions available at the location.

Capital deployment is another part of the growth strategy. Batliwala said funds raised through the company’s initial public offering (IPO) were being used to strengthen media infrastructure, expand its premium asset portfolio and accelerate digital transformation. He said the benefits of those investments were beginning to show in the company’s growing business scale and operational performance.

The company plans to continue expanding its premium media footprint, strengthening its DOOH capabilities and exploring strategic locations and new advertising formats. Its stated priorities include disciplined capital allocation, sustainable profitability and long-term shareholder value creation.

However, the sharp increase in revenue has outpaced growth in profit after tax, which rose 60.3 per cent against revenue growth of 124.3 per cent. The company’s latest figures therefore highlight both its rapid expansion and the importance of how effectively it converts additional business into earnings as its media network grows.

Listed on NSE Emerge under the symbol SIMCA, with ISIN INE1K4J01018, the company is positioning itself around the convergence of physical outdoor advertising and technology-led media. Its next phase will depend on expanding its inventory, winning and executing client mandates, and building out newer segments without losing sight of profitability.

With first-half revenue already accounting for around 86 per cent of its FY26 total, SIMCA enters the second half of FY27 with a larger business base and a broader media portfolio. The challenge now is to turn that momentum into sustained earnings growth as it takes its advertising network into new territory.
