Scripbox elevates Mohankumar Swaminathan to chief product officer

Decade-long company veteran to lead AI-first product strategy and digital wealth innovation

BENGALURU: Scripbox is putting a familiar hand on the product wheel. Scripbox has promoted company veteran Mohankumar Swaminathan to chief product officer (CPO) as the digital wealth management firm sharpens its focus on AI-led innovation and customer experience.

In his new role, Swaminathan will lead the company’s product strategy, roadmap and innovation initiatives, overseeing the development of Scripbox’s digital wealth management platform while working closely with engineering, design and business teams.

The appointment marks a milestone in Swaminathan’s ten-year journey at Scripbox and underscores the company’s emphasis on developing leadership internally. Since joining the firm in 2016 as a growth hacker, he has held several leadership positions across growth, business and product, most recently serving as head of user acquisition.

During his tenure, Swaminathan has played a central role in expanding Scripbox’s product capabilities as the company evolved from one of India’s earliest digital mutual fund advisory platforms into a broader wealth management firm catering to affluent and high-net-worth individuals.

He has led initiatives spanning product management, customer acquisition, lifecycle engagement and marketing technology. His contributions include developing the company’s in-house marketing automation platform, improving digital onboarding journeys and driving product-led growth to deliver a more seamless investing experience.

As chief product officer, Swaminathan will now steer Scripbox’s AI-first product vision, focusing on building technology solutions tailored to changing investor expectations and strengthening the firm’s digital capabilities.

Commenting on the appointment, Scripbox, chief executive officer, Atul Shinghal said Swaminathan’s understanding of customers and technology has been instrumental in the company’s growth.

His ability to bring together product thinking, technology and customer insights has helped us build experiences that have evolved alongside the changing needs of Indian investors. As we continue to strengthen our wealth management offerings, his leadership will play an important role in shaping the next phase of our product journey.”

Reflecting on his new role, Scripbox, chief product officer, Mohankumar Swaminathan said the promotion comes at an important point in both his career and the company’s evolution.

With his experience across product, technology and growth, Swaminathan is expected to play a key role in shaping Scripbox’s next phase of innovation in an increasingly competitive wealth-tech market.
