New avatar turns daily running, walking and cycling into lasting fitness habits

Mumbai: A hundred days can do more than clock up kilometres. Procam International is giving its long-running fitness movement HDOR a new avatar, repositioning HDOR – 100 Days of Running around a broader goal: turning regular movement into habits that last.

The movement, which has been building a culture of consistent fitness for 11 years, will open registrations on 29 August, India’s National Sports Day. The 100-day challenge will begin on 10 October 2026 and conclude on 17 January 2027.

Now part of the Procam portfolio, HDOR has been redesigned with a wider reach and a more inclusive approach to participation. Rather than focusing only on running, the programme invites people of different ages and fitness levels to run, walk, cycle or take part in a duathlon, wherever they are.

The underlying message is simple: participants do not have to be fit before they begin. They can start moving and build fitness along the way.

“HDOR isn’t really about 100 days of running. It is about using 100 days of movement to build a habit,” said Procam International joint managing director Vivek Singh. “You don’t need to be fit to start. You start to become fit.”

Singh said the initiative aims to make movement accessible to households across India and contribute to the broader Fit India vision. The campaign’s message, ‘Mumkin Hai’, is built around starting wherever possible, staying consistent and making movement a part of everyday life.

The relaunch also brings a social-impact element to the challenge. The Akshaya Patra Foundation has joined as the exclusive Community Impact Partner. Through the partnership, participants can contribute towards providing hot and nutritious meals to children on school days.

The foundation, a direct implementation partner for the PM POSHAN programme, said the meals are designed to support children’s nutritional needs, regular school attendance and their ability to focus on education and development.

How HDOR works

The programme is built around consistency rather than an all-or-nothing approach. Participants can download the HDOR app, select their preferred activity and complete the minimum distance required.

For running or walking, participants need to cover at least 2.5 km, while cyclists need to complete 8 km. Those aiming to become official Finishers must be active on 85 of the 100 days, with 15 rest days built into the programme.

Activities can be logged through the HDOR app or by syncing compatible wearables and fitness platforms. Participants can also take on challenges, climb leaderboards, reach milestones and compete for rewards worth Rs 10 lakh.

The programme will also feature GoGo, HDOR’s virtual fitness buddy, designed to motivate participants, guide them through the challenge and celebrate their progress.

Registrations start at Rs 599, inclusive of GST, with the programme open to first-time participants, senior citizens, families, corporates and running clubs.

The initiative also gives participants the opportunity to virtually take part in three major distance-running events: the Vedanta Delhi Half Marathon 2026, Tata Steel World 25K Kolkata 2026 and Tata Mumbai Marathon 2027.

Procam said the new format is designed to remove traditional barriers around fitness participation, including age, location and experience. Participants can also sponsor someone who may otherwise not have the opportunity to join the challenge.

With technology providing the tracking and community layer, and the 100-day format providing the consistency, HDOR is aiming to make fitness less of an annual resolution and more of a daily routine. Registration opens on National Sports Day, with the next 100 days set to test a simple proposition: start now, keep moving and make it stick.
