MUMBAI: Some heroes make headlines; others simply get on with the job. Indo National Limited (INL), the company behind Nippo, has launched “Silent Warriors”, a new brand platform and campaign film celebrating people whose everyday contributions keep India moving without necessarily earning recognition.

The platform is built around a simple idea: every Indian is either a silent warrior or knows one. Nippo places itself in that same category, drawing a parallel between people who quietly keep things running and a battery that powers homes without demanding attention.

The campaign looks back at Nippo’s more than five decades in Indian households, using the brand’s long-standing presence to frame its latest storytelling around the people who work behind the scenes.

The campaign film brings that thought to life through snapshots of everyday India, featuring a working woman balancing two roles, a nurse working a night shift and a soldier serving at the border. Their common thread is contribution without applause work that matters even when few people notice it.

Pavan Kumar BVS, CEO, Indo National Limited, said the company found a shared spirit between Nippo’s products and the people behind them. He described the battery as an apt metaphor because it “does its job completely and never asks to be noticed”.

Arun Sriram, Chief Marketing Officer, Indo National Limited, said the campaign was designed to change the indifference around a brand that Indians have trusted for generations. He added that the stories of a working woman, night-shift nurse and border soldier were intended to bring the idea into familiar, everyday settings.

The campaign also arrives as Nippo moves beyond its traditional battery business. The brand is expanding into categories including torches, mosquito bats, home care and air care, with “Silent Warriors” intended to provide a common narrative across the wider portfolio.

The campaign has launched across major digital platforms and will roll out on OTT platforms, with regional-language adaptations planned across Indian markets.

For Nippo, the strategy is less about putting the battery itself in the spotlight and more about shining a light on the people who quietly keep things going. After more than five decades of doing much the same, the brand now has a new name for that familiar quality: silent strength.
