MUMBAI: AI is getting a new PR partner. Maars Communicates has been appointed as the strategic communications partner for Studio Blo, an India-based AI-native content studio focused on using artificial intelligence across the entertainment and content creation process.

The mandate will see Maars Communicates lead Studio Blo’s strategic communications, media relations, thought leadership and digital storytelling as the studio expands its work across AI-powered entertainment.

Studio Blo explores the use of AI across various stages of production, from ideation and world-building to character development, visual creation and large-scale content production.

Its projects include Warlord, an AI-driven sci-fi series created with filmmaker Shekhar Kapur, AI-powered celebrity cloning featuring Hardik Pandya, and a cinematic campaign for the Mumbai Indians Women’s Premier League team.

Studio Blo has also worked with filmmakers including Rajkumar Hirani, Atlee and Rohit Shetty as it explores the role of AI in mainstream entertainment and storytelling.

Dipankar Mukherjee, co-founder and ceo, Studio Blo, said AI is changing how stories can be imagined, created and experienced, adding that the studio views the technology as a creative medium rather than simply a production tool.

“From building characters and worlds to developing large-scale entertainment IP, our focus is on understanding what becomes possible when technology and human creativity work together,” he said.

The partnership also builds on Maars Communicates’ work in AI-led storytelling and entertainment. The agency has worked on projects including AI Mahabharat and Hanuman: Chiranjeevi, while also working with emerging AI studios and technology-led content platforms.

Founded by siblings Mausam Shah and Aayush Shah, Maars Communicates is a pan-India integrated communications and PR agency working across entertainment, corporate, lifestyle, technology, AI and the creator economy. It currently manages communications for more than 50 brands and businesses.

Mausam Shah, founder and director, PR, Maars Communicates, said AI was increasingly becoming a creative and cultural story rather than simply a technology narrative.

“Studio Blo is pushing that conversation forward by actually building and experimenting at the intersection of AI and entertainment,” Shah said, adding that the agency would focus on taking the studio’s work, vision and ambitions to a wider audience.

Aayush Shah, co-founder and director, digital and business development, Maars Communicates, said Studio Blo represented a new generation of content creators using AI as part of their creative language.

The agency will work to build conversations around the evolution of AI-powered entertainment across media, digital platforms and the wider creator ecosystem.

With the partnership, Maars Communicates will seek to position Studio Blo as a key voice in the development of AI-led entertainment in India and international markets, as the technology moves from experimentation towards more mainstream creative applications.
