GURUGRAM: Hyundai Motor India has introduced the new Lounge Edition across its CRETA, ALCAZAR and CRETA Electric SUVs, adding a mix of rear-seat entertainment, premium interiors and exclusive styling upgrades aimed at customers looking for a more lounge-like travel experience.

The new editions bring Hyundai’s 29.46 cm (11.6-inch) integrated Rear Seat Entertainment System (RSE), which turns the rear cabin into a connected digital hub with OTT streaming, video content, interactive gaming, app access and phone mirroring.

The RSE is paired with the existing Bose premium eight-speaker sound system, including a front central speaker and subwoofer. Some features may require internet connectivity, compatible devices, third-party subscriptions or additional charges.

Commenting on the launch, Hyundai Motor India head, product strategy & planning Amit Dhaundiyal said the Lounge Edition has been designed around customers’ growing demand for experiences that go beyond mobility.

The new editions also get lounge-exclusive interiors, a new seat design pattern, silver-coloured inserts and Moonwhite ambient lighting. Exterior changes include black-finished styling elements and a new Golden Bronze colour option.

The CRETA Lounge Edition is based on the King trims and is available with the 1.5-litre MPi petrol iVT and 1.5-litre U2 CRDi diesel AT powertrains.

The exterior receives black-painted front and rear skid plates, side sill garnish, rear spoiler, roof rails, C-pillar garnish and ORVMs. The SUV also gets 18-inch matte black alloy wheels.

Inside, the CRETA Lounge Edition features the 11.6-inch rear entertainment system, lounge-exclusive interiors with silver inserts, Moonwhite ambient lighting, a new lounge seat pattern and rear-seat headrest cushions carrying Lounge branding.

Prices start at Rs 19.21 lakh for the 1.5 MPi iVT King Lounge and go up to Rs 20.45 lakh for the 1.5 CRDi AT King Lounge DT, ex-showroom.

The ALCAZAR Lounge Edition takes the premium approach further with an exclusive five-seat configuration designed to give rear passengers a more spacious lounge-like experience.

Based on the Signature variant, it is offered exclusively with the 1.5-litre U2 CRDi diesel AT powertrain. It also features a voice-enabled smart panoramic sunroof and the new rear-seat entertainment system.

The SUV gets black-painted skid plates, side sill garnish, rear spoiler, roof rails and ORVMs, along with 18-inch black alloy wheels. Inside, the package includes silver inserts, Moonwhite ambient lighting, the new lounge seat pattern and branded rear headrest cushions.

The ALCAZAR Lounge Edition is priced at Rs 21.80 lakh for the standard version and Rs 21.95 lakh for the dual-tone version, ex-showroom.

The CRETA Electric Lounge Edition brings the same premium treatment to Hyundai’s electric SUV range, combining the convenience of EV driving with additional rear-seat comfort and entertainment.

It is based on the Excellence Long Range variant and is available with the home charger option as well.

The electric SUV gets a Golden Bronze exterior option, black-painted skid plates, side sill garnish, rear spoiler, roof rails, C-pillar garnish and ORVMs. It rides on 17-inch black aero alloy wheels.

The cabin adds a dashcam, rear wireless charger, 11.6-inch rear entertainment system, lounge-exclusive interiors, silver inserts, Moonwhite ambient lighting and a new lounge seat design with branded rear headrest cushions.

Prices for the CRETA Electric Lounge Edition start at Rs 24.34 lakh for the Excellence LR Lounge and rise to Rs 25.22 lakh for the Excellence LR with home charger and dual-tone treatment.

With the Lounge Edition, Hyundai is essentially turning its SUVs into entertainment spaces on wheels, with rear-seat technology taking centre stage alongside cosmetic upgrades. The move also gives the automaker another way to differentiate its popular SUV portfolio as buyers increasingly look for comfort and connected experiences beyond the drive itself.
