MUMBAI: EMOMEE is taking its characters from screen time to showtime. The Indian children’s entertainment IP has made its live debut by opening for global kids music sensation Lenny Pearce across Mumbai, Delhi and Bengaluru, marking its first major move into live entertainment.

EMOMEE presented a specially created 10-minute live act featuring its characters E, Mo and Mee at Chamara Vajra in Bengaluru, Dublin Square at Phoenix Marketcity in Mumbai and Talkatora Indoor Stadium in Delhi. The performances drew thousands of children and families.

The act brought together the music, movement, humour and life skills at the heart of EMOMEE’s content, giving audiences an opportunity to experience the characters beyond the screen.

The move is part of EMOMEE’s wider strategy to build a children’s franchise around three interconnected pillars: Screen, Stage and Shop.

Over the past 15 months, the company says it has crossed one billion views, built a community of more than 2.5 million subscribers and reached audiences across more than 100 countries. Its first show is now also streaming on Netflix.

With its digital presence providing the initial audience base, EMOMEE is now looking to take E, Mo and Mee into live experiences. The 10-minute performance created for the Lenny Pearce shows is being positioned as the first step towards a larger live entertainment format.

The company is currently developing an original 60 to 70-minute life skills musical, which is planned for launch in 2027.

“From day one, we have been building EMOMEE as an IP that can live far beyond a screen,” said EMOMEE founder and CEO Pooja Jauhari. “Screen gives us the ability to make E, Mo and Mee famous at scale. Stage gives children the chance to meet them, dance with them and experience their world in real life. And Shop lets them eventually take a piece of that world home.”

Jauhari added that the three-city performances offered the company its first opportunity to see the live proposition take shape in front of families.

“The 10-minute act is only the beginning. Our ambition is to build EMOMEE into a full-scale live entertainment property,” she said.

EMOMEE is positioning live entertainment as an extension of its relationship with children rather than simply as an events business. The company plans to carry its life-skills focus across formats, covering themes such as curiosity, confidence, emotional intelligence, adaptability, money sense and critical thinking.

Under its planned model, children discover E, Mo and Mee through Screen, experience them in person through Stage and eventually take elements of their world into everyday life through Shop.

The strategy forms part of EMOMEE’s larger ambition to build a globally relevant children’s franchise from India, with its characters spanning streaming, live entertainment, products and licensing.

For EMOMEE, the three-city debut is an early test of whether characters built for the screen can make a successful leap into the real world, with the 2027 musical set to be the next big step.
