Swift TV Brings Bullet Micro Drama OTT, Expanding Short-Form Content on CTV
The partnership brings Bullet’s 1–2 minute episodic micro-dramas across seven Indian languages to Swift TV’s free, ad-supported streaming ecosystem, with viewers able to access the content without a separate app download or subscription.
Swift TV, India’s independent FAST platform created by The Germane Media (TGM), has partnered with Bullet Micro Drama, the short-form entertainment platform backed by Zee Entertainment Enterprises Ltd.
As part of the integration, Bullet’s catalogue of micro-dramas, featuring episodes designed to deliver complete, fast-paced story arcs in approximately one to two minutes, will now be available to Swift TV viewers as an always-on channel across connected TVs and supported smart mobile devices.
The partnership brings together two rapidly evolving trends in streaming: the rise of short-form storytelling and the growing adoption of free, ad-supported television. Through this integration, Bullet’s micro-drama content will now extend beyond its standalone OTT application and become accessible to Swift TV’s growing audience without requiring viewers to download a separate application or pay a subscription fee.
The Rise of Micro-Drama
The way audiences consume video has changed significantly over the last decade. From short videos on YouTube and TikTok to reels and other short-form formats, viewers are increasingly comfortable with content that delivers immediate engagement and moves quickly from one story beat to the next.
This evolution has led to the emergence of micro-drama — a format built around short, episodic storytelling, often designed to deliver a complete narrative experience within minutes.
What began as an extension of vertical short-form video has rapidly developed into a distinct entertainment format. With audiences increasingly looking for content that is easy to start, easy to consume and capable of delivering immediate narrative payoff, micro-drama is emerging as one of the most closely watched formats in the global streaming ecosystem.
The Asia-Pacific region is expected to remain one of the most competitive markets for the growth of short-form entertainment and micro-drama. India, with its diverse language landscape and rapidly expanding digital video audience, is particularly well positioned for the format.
Bullet Micro Drama OTT has already demonstrated the growing demand for this form of storytelling in India, with more than 1 crore Android downloads as of June
2026 and content available across Hindi, Marathi, Bengali, Tamil, Telugu, Kannada and Malayalam.
The question for the industry is no longer whether audiences will watch micro-drama. It is how far the format can travel across platforms and screens. From Mobile-First Viewing to Lean-Back Entertainment
The integration of Bullet with Swift TV represents a significant next step in the distribution of micro-drama content.
While short-form storytelling has traditionally been associated with mobile-first consumption, FAST platforms provide an opportunity to bring the format into a more curated, lean-back viewing environment.
Bullet’s short-form episodes, arranged as a dedicated, always-on channel, allow viewers to discover and consume micro-drama content in a television-style viewing experience while retaining the speed and accessibility that define the format.
The partnership also creates a new content surface for audiences who may be interested in short-form storytelling but prefer watching content on larger screens or through a curated channel experience.
How the Integration Works
Bullet’s library of micro-dramas, operated by ZBullet Enterprises Limited and backed by Zee Entertainment Enterprises, will be available as app-in-app integration within the Swift TV ecosystem.
The channel will feature:
Through the integration, viewers can access Bullet’s catalogue as part of Swift TV’s wider entertainment ecosystem, which brings together live television, movies, news, music, sports content, devotional programming and FAST channels.
Why Micro-Drama and FAST Are a Natural Fit
The combination of micro-drama and FAST creates an interesting opportunity for both audiences and advertisers.
Micro-drama is built around frequent episodes and fast-moving storylines, while FAST offers a continuous, channel-based viewing experience.
Together, the formats can create a viewing environment that combines the discoverability of television with the engagement characteristics of short-form content.
For advertisers, the partnership opens up a new inventory opportunity around highly engaging, short-form storytelling that can be delivered across a diverse and multilingual Indian audience.
The format also creates the potential for contextually relevant advertising opportunities within a content environment designed around high-frequency viewing and episodic consumption.
As FAST continues to evolve in India, partnerships such as this demonstrate how content formats traditionally associated with mobile and social platforms can be reimagined for the connected television ecosystem.
Azim Lalani Co-Founder – Bullet Micro Drama
With millions of views every month, we’ve seen firsthand how deeply Indian audiences resonate with fast-paced, episodic storytelling in their native languages. Expanding onto Swift TV’s FAST ecosystem is a natural evolution for BULLET. It allows us to take short-form storytelling beyond personal mobile screens and into living rooms, unlocking a completely new viewing surface and advertiser ecosystem for micro-dramas.”
Abhishek Singh, CEO & Founder of Swift TV, said:
“Micro-drama has emerged as one of the most exciting developments in the global streaming ecosystem because it reflects the way audiences increasingly consume entertainment — with speed, accessibility and a strong desire for immediate storytelling. Our partnership with Bullet allows us to bring this rapidly growing format to the FAST ecosystem and make it available to viewers across connected TVs and smart devices without requiring an additional app download or subscription. We believe this integration will not only expand the reach of Bullet’s content but also demonstrate how short-form storytelling can evolve beyond mobile-first consumption.”
