Broadcasters vs Advertisers: the balance tilts?
Broadcasters continue to air ads even after the deadline, but they seem amenable to a compromise formula, said the head of one of the seven networks.

Why TVCs continue to air on TV, despite deadline expiry
It relates to a clause in the advertising deal contracts that broadcasters, agencies and advertisers normally sign: it requires a 14 day notice for cancellation, apart from other things.
