Amazon posts record profit of $3.6 bn, smashes industry expectations
E-commerce giant Amazon posted its first-quarter earnings beating analysts' expectations for profit. It reported $3.6 billion net income in the quarter, more than twice the investors' predictions. However, the $59.7 billion revenue of the company was in line with Wall Street expectations, up 16 per cent from year-over-year.

Tata Sky vs TRAI: Delhi HC lists matter for 2 May
The Delhi High Court has adjourned the petition of top DTH operators Tata Sky, Airtel Digital TV, Sun Direct and broadcaster Discovery India Communication challenging Telecom Regulatory Authority of India (TRAI) and its new tariff regime to 2 May. The last hearing on 11 April was adjourned April as there was a full court reference for a deceased retired Supreme Court judge.
