Dish TV's financials for the year ended 2013 and Q4-2013 reflect a positive trend; losses are down as are subscriber acquisition costs. Now it has to work on pushing up ARPUs.

Zee TV, Colors gain in TAM week 20; Star Plus continues to lead

Zee TV gained 10 GRPs, while Colors added 9 GRPs. Star Plus held its lead despite gaining just 2 GRPs. The Hindi movie channels were other major gainers apart from IPL-caster Max.

West Bengal's plan to take over defunct TV channels may face central ire

Saradha owned Tara News and Tara Muzik to be acquired by West Bengal government. Industry regulator TRAI has in the past frowned upon such a practice by state governments.
