BARC week 23: Star maintained leadership position in Hindi GEC urban segment

MUMBAI: Colors and Sony Sab exchanged their fifth and sixth positions respectively as compared to the previous week in Hindi GEC (U+R) according to the Broadcast Audience Research Council (BARC) data for week 23 of 2019. In rural areas, Sony Sab and Colors exchanged their fifth and sixth positions respectively. In urban areas, Star Plus retained its leadership position.

No changes were observed in rural and urban areas this week. Colors and Sony Entertainment Television swapped their second and third positions respectively, in the urban areas.

Hindi GEC (U+R)

Dangal TV, Big Magic, Star Plus, Zee TV retained their first, second, third and fourth positions respectively. Colors and Sony Sab exchanged their fifth and sixth positions respectively as compared to the previous week. Sony Sab, Sony Entertainment Television, Star Bharat, Sony Pal and Star Utsav also continued to be in their seventh, eighth, ninth and tenth positions respectively.

In rural areas, Dangal TV, Big magic, Zee TV, Star Plus continued to be in first, second, third and fourth positions respectively.  Sony Sab and Colors exchanged their fifth and sixth positions respectively. Sony Entertainment Television retained its seventh position. Sony Pal and Star Bharat continued to be on eighth and ninth positions respectively as compared to the previous week. Star Utsav continued to be in tenth position.
