BARC week 22: No changes in Hindi GEC (U+R) and rural segments

Star Utsav emerged as the new player by gaining tenth position in urban areas

BARC week 22

MUMBAI: No changes were observed in Hindi GEC (U+R) and rural segment according to the Broadcast Audience Research Council (BARC) data for week 22 of 2019. No changes were observed in rural and urban areas this week. Colors and Sony Entertainment Television swapped their second and third positions respectively in the urban areas.

Hindi GEC (U+R)

This week, no changes were observed. Dangal TV, Big Magic, Star Plus, Zee TV and Colors retained their first, second, third, fourth and fifth positions respectively. Sony Sab, Sony Entertainment Television, Star Bharat, Sony Pal and Star Utsav also continued to be in their sixth, seventh, eighth, ninth and tenth positions respectively.

Hindi rural GEC

In rural areas, no changes were observed. Dangal TV, Big magic, Zee TV, Star Plus, Colors, Sony Sab, Sony Entertainment Television, Star Bharat and Sony Pal retained their first, second, third, fourth, fifth, sixth, seventh, eighth, ninth and tenth positions respectively.

Hindi urban GEC

In urban areas, Star Plus retained its leadership position. Colors and Sony Entertainment Television swapped their second and third positions respectively. Sony Sab, Zee TV, Star Bharat, Dangal, Big Magic, &TV continued to be on their fourth, fifth, sixth, seventh, eighth and ninth positions respectively. Star Utsav emerged as the new player by gaining tenth position and it replaced Sony Pal from last week.
