MUMBAI: Star India’s youth and music destination Channel V is all geared up to add two new shows to its programming mix from February to March.

The channel will launch a new show titled D4- Get Up and Dance and is produced by Edge Storm Ventures LLP. The show will sport a new cast and story-line and will launch on 22 February and will be aired from Monday to Friday in the 7 pm time band.

The show is a mélange of drama, romance and sheds light on the life of a young girl named Baby, who is a skilled dancer but however keeps her dancing skills a secret as a result of her parents’ disapproval. The lead’s life is turned upside down after she meets her dance idol Mikhail and decides to join his dance troupe leaving everything aside. While her talent continues to shine, romance blooms as Baby falls in love with Mikhail despite knowing the fact that he is emotionally secluded.

Speaking on the show, Channel V business head Kevin Vaz said, “Channel V has always been at the forefront of delivering content that appeals to the youngsters. We introduced the youth to dance based fiction shows and continue to own that space, our new show D4 – Get Up and Dance will captivate audiences by showcasing energy bursting performances on the back of a romantic story.”

Sources close to the development inform Indiantelevision.com that the channel is also coming up with a new fiction show titled Ishq Unplugged starring Mohit Gaur and Shruti Prakash, which is produced by Panorama Entertainment. The show is slated to go on air from 7 March in the early prime time band of 7:30 pm.
