MUMBAI: Cosmos-Maya, the leading animation studio synonymous with highly popular kids' content, today announced the future plans of their most successful IP, Motu Patlu. The announcement comes on the back of the iconic characters' recent inclusion at the prestigious Madame Tussauds wax museum.

After creating a splash at Madame Tussauds in Delhi, the lovable icons will head to Madame Tussauds London and many other destinations in Europe as the series takes a leap with the theme, 'The Adventures of Motu Patlu in Europe'. Cosmos-Maya also put out the first glimpses of the European destinations that Motu & Patlu would visit during this trip.

"As IP creators and brand custodians of Motu Patlu's highly popular and iconic audiovisual content, it is our endeavor to take the brand to the next level and push the boundaries of animation quality as we take the brand further", said Ketan Mehta - Founder of Cosmos-Maya.

Cosmos-Maya has thus produced over 800 episodes and 20 films of the Motu Patlu franchise; and the audience cannot get enough of their beloved icons. The studio also recently launched two spin off series from the Motu Patlu franchise, Inspector Chingum and Guddu. Both the shows regarded for their high quality animation are presently airing on Amazon Prime Video. While Inspector Chingum was recently also launched on the Disney Network, Cosmos-Maya is yet to announce the Pay TV partner on Guddu.

"We are fortunate that we have been working well with all the major platforms in the business and have been able to get the right partners for each of our shows", said Anish Mehta - CEO, Cosmos-Maya.

The studio has a strong focus and is unrivalled when it comes to successful Indian animation IPs. Selfie with Bajrangi was yet another successful IP that the studio launched last year and has been doing rather well within a short span of launch. "Our biggest strength lies in identifying the audience pulse and blending in a mix of familiarity with novelty. The fact that the platforms support us in our creative vision, gives us a constant motivation in this IP creation journey", added Anish Mehta.

Quiz him about what's next on their beloved IP, Motu Patlu and Ketan Mehta adds excitedly, "Currently we are working on Motu Patlu’s European sojourn. The world is our oyster".

With the massive plans that the creators have to take the brand further, doesn't look like the Motu Patlu fever is going to subside any time soon.
