MUMBAI: IN10 Media Network is gearing up for the launch of its much-awaited Hindi general entertainment channel – Ishara. The brand new TV channel which will be available across networks from 1 March. With the guiding sentiment of Zindagi Ka Nazara, the GEC’s programming will showcase the rich values and diverse traditions of India’s unique cultural fabric through differentiated and immersive story-telling.

Ishara has roped in reputed production houses like Hats Off Productions, Peninsula Pictures, Juggernaut Productions, Keylight Productions for its launch slate, with other shows in various phases of development. Debuting with comprehensive coverage in the Hindi speaking market, Ishara will be available on all major DTH and cable networks.

The five original shows set to premiere at the outset are helmed by path-breaking content creators, and feature some of the most recognisable faces on Indian television. The channel’s launch proposition offers a myriad range of genres that includes mythological story Paapnaashini Ganga; crime-thriller Faraar Kab Tak; and three fiction shows Agni-Vayu, Humkadam and Janani.

Janani: An emotional saga of a mother’s journey; who reinvents herself after a traumatic life altering experience. Starring Supriya Pilgaonkar.

Humkadam: Breaking the stereotypes of the typical saas-bahu dynamic with a fresh tale of two diametrically opposite personalities; Humkadam is headlined by Gurdeep Kohli and Bhumika Gurang.

Agni-Vayu: Romantic thriller between a charitable doctor and a broken lover who are pitted against each other but brought together through divine intervention; starring Shivani Tomar and Gautam Vig

Paapnaashini Ganga: It is the story of the life of Maa Ganga, not just religious but divine and filled with dedication to the cause of humanity. The story of a young girl who sacrifices everything for the benefit of humanity; starring Aakriti Sharma

Faraar Kab Tak: A series inspired by real-life crime cases of absconding criminals and a call for action to identify absconding convicted criminals and bring them to justice; hosted by Atul Kulkarni
