Fempowerment Women Achievers Awards 2018 is back to recognize women and celebrate their achievements. In 2016 Arunachalam Muruganantham was presented a special Fempowerment award for the invention of low-cost sanitary pad-making machine and innovating grassroots mechanisms for generating awareness about traditional unhygienic practices around menstruation in rural India. .
