MUMBAI: Zee's Marathi channel Alpha Marathi's telecast of the inaugural edition of Apla Alpha Awards show has recorded 7.5 TVR's in Maharashtra and Mumbai in females ABC 15+ category. The show was telecast on Saturday 14 August.

In C&S 4+, the show has got 6.1 and 5.4 TRP's in Mumbai and Maharashtra respectively. The TVR's peaked to 16 in all Maharashtra in CS 1 million+ towns.

The channel share garnered by Alpha Marathi on the day of telecast is a record number on 31.6 per cent in females 15+ ABC and 24.5 in CS4+, the nearest channel followed Alpha Marathi was Star Plus with a share 13.4 in females 15+ and 8.9 in Mumbai, says an official release.

Alpha Marathi business head Nitin Vaidya says, "It is the yet another day of celebration for Alpha Marathi, we would like to thank our loyal audience across India for giving an overwhelming response to Aapla Alpha Award 2004."

Alpha Marathi instituted the Aapla Alpha Award this year to mark the mark the channel completing five years.
