MUMBAI: Winter is almost here, can you feel the chills? Yes, you guessed it right. The viewers will get to see the much anticipated Game Of Thrones season 6 today.

Though, Hotstar screened GoT 6 yesterday in India simultaneously with the release of the show in the US. The fans in India could watch the uncensored ad-free first episode titled The Red Woman on Hotstar at 7:30 am on 25 April minutes after its US premiere.

Hold on! All’s not lost yet. There is  good news for all those who have missed it. GoT season 6 will be premiered on 26 April at 10 pm on Star World Premiere HD.

Although HBO has taken steps in recent years to combat its heavy illegal downloading problem, pirates appear to have continued to download the season 6 premiere of GoT much before its official release.

TorrentFreak reported that there were more than a million downloads in half a day. People from all over the world grabbed a copy, with over 200,000 BitTorrent users actively sharing copies of the episode, a number that's still rising. The initial numbers gives a picture that HBO’s GoT will continue its legacy of being one of the most pirated show of the year.
