MUMBAI: Times Bridge, the global investment arm of The Times Group, has appointed Prachi Jatania as senior manager, brand and communications. In her new role, Jatania will strengthen the Times Bridge brand, advance awareness of its platform around the world and lead communications regarding its portfolio’s successes across India. The appointment is effective immediately.

An alumnus of the University of Cambridge, Prachi has over 12 years of experience in media and international communications. Her last stint was as director, press and public affairs at the British Deputy High Commission in Mumbai where she was responsible for strategic communications, media relations and marketing to support the UK government’s international trade, policy and public affairs work in Western India.

Prachi is also an experienced journalist and has worked across a gamut of prominent media organisations such as the Indian Express, Mid-day Multimedia, Network 18 and the India Today Group. After her transition from journalism, she led multimedia content strategy and marketing for gender rights organisation, Breakthrough India and also dabbled in digital content production across verticals.

Commenting on the appointment, Times Bridge CEO Rishi Jaitly said, “Times Bridge’s mission is to bring the world’s best ideas to India and share India’s best insights with the world. As part of that mission, we’ve built an eclectic, global portfolio of companies who are immersing and scaling across India in novel, impactful ways. Given her wide and varied background, I’m looking forward to the leadership Prachi will provide in representing our values, our brand and our successes in India - and around the world.”

On joining the team, Jatania said, “I am delighted to be a part of the Times Bridge story and feel enthused to lead the company’s communications and marketing. Like its mission, which is focused on the business of big ideas, Times Bridge is itself a big idea, too. I am looking forward to shaping the Times Bridge identity, to bolster its global voice and, ultimately, to accelerate its business and mission.”
