Ogilvy & Hamam’s Kumbh campaign shortlisted from India for Cannes Lions 2019

The idea was to provide waterproof sarees to women taking the holy dip.

MUMBAI: The shortlisted entries for the 2019 Glass has been revealed by Cannes lions - The Lion for Change; Innovation Lions and Titanium Lions. The only one shortlisted from India for it was Ogilvy Mumbai’s Hamam Waterproof Saree.

Ogilvy India and Hindustan Unilever’s soap brand Hamam launched a simple but effective product at the 2019 Kumbh Mela – waterproof sarees. The saree was the same that women usually wear but had an extra waterproofing layer. This made it easier for women to take a dip in the river Ganga without worrying about the transparency of the fabric or that it may catch unwanted attention.

The list of entries will showcase their work directly to jury members in the presence of a live audience from 17 June to 19 June 2019.
