Snapdeal assigns affiliate marketing duties to Columbus India

MUMBAI: Columbus India, the digital agency from Dentsu Aegis Network, has been appointed as the affiliate marketing agency for online marketplace Snapdeal.

The account was won following a direct pitch and will be handled out of the agency’s Delhi office. This win has added to the growing kitty of Columbus India’s clients in India.

As per the mandate, Columbus India will manage Snapdeal’s affiliate marketing program which includes managing publishers globally. The agency will assign over 10 digital experts across offices in Delhi, Mumbai and Bangalore and will support Snapdeal in growing its affiliate programme.

A Snapdeal spokesperson says, “Affiliate marketing is an important tool to translate brand awareness into sales. Columbus India is well positioned to augment Snapdeal’s customer acquisition by optimising partner and affiliate relationships through its custom built performance marketing tech tools.”

Columbus India CEO Anurag Gupta adds, “With our performance marketing capabilities around e-commerce, we are confident of being able to help Snapdeal further strengthen its brand and business by increasing site visits, engagement and conversions.”

Columbus India CBO Nitin Sabharwal mentions, “For e-commerce companies, leveraging the affiliate channel is one of the most cost effective channels to achieve one-to-one performance marketing at scale. We are deploying the best in class solutions for Snapdeal to achieve their goals.
