MUMBAI: Favre-Leuba launches a brand-new campaign for its Raider Sea Bird collection that celebrates a number of exceptional women who have challenged professional genderstereotypes in the pursuit of their dreams.

The Favre-Leuba Raider Sea Bird collection was created with the strong independent woman in mind —confident and alluring, classy and tough, steadfast and assertive — this timepiece’s character is a perfect match for today’s modern womanwho is understandably demanding in her choices.Not limiting herself to small, dainty, jewellery watches,she prefers watches and accessories that match and compliment her personality. The Raider Sea Bird is designed to be her perfect companion, a watch that combines both beauty and functionality. 

This unique interpretation of a woman’s wristwatch is highlighted in a brand-new campaign that offers a platform to women who have succeeded in unconventional fields. Their stories and their voices are at the core of the Raider Sea Bird message. Discover women who have embraced careers as a drummer, pilot, sailor, metal sculptor, film producer and robotic engineer, all professions typically associated with men. Favre-Leuba is providing a spotlight to these poised women who have followed their dreams despite all the obstacles putin their way, including their own doubts and fears. 

Reema Vazirani, Marketing Manager at Favre-Leuba explains: “Like the Raider Sea Bird, which breaks away from the norm of women’s watches with their precious stones and metals, there are many women who break away from the age-old professional gender norms. These women are an inspiration as they have conquered physical, mental and emotional frontiers and have carved a place for themselves in otherwise male-dominated professions. The idea of the campaign is to provide a stage for these women to shine and also to inspire others by sharing their achievements.”

Determination and strength are two key traits that shine through in the new Raider Sea Brid campaign as Steffi, a professional drummer,notes, “When people hear the sound of drums, they immediately expect to see a man playing, not a woman. This is because drumming requires a certain level of strength. I have always been determined and worked hard to achieve this strength while keeping my own identity, and this has helped me to succeed as a drummer.” Manuela, a metal sculptor agrees, “Working with metal as a material can be somewhat challenging for a woman. It takes a lot of strength, which comes easier to a man, but my determination and persistence have helped me turn my vision into reality. I am glad that I can reinforce my position as a woman in this unique field.”

Just like these women, the Raider Sea Bird exudes self-confidence and determination. The combination of excellent craftsmanship and perfect functionality go hand-in-hand, and together they are symbolic of the modern woman.
