Jayanti Chauhan to lead Bisleri International after TCPL cancels deal

She is currently the vice chairperson of the company.

Mumbai: Jayanti Chauhan, daughter of Bisleri International chairman Ramesh Chauhan, has decided to lead the multi-crore bottled water company, as Tata Consumer Products Ltd (TCPL) has ended its bid to acquire Bisleri.

"Jayanti will run the company with our professional team and we do not want to sell the business," said Bisleri chairman Ramesh Chauhan, as quoted by ET.

The 38-year-old Jayanti Chauhan is the only daughter of Ramesh Chauhan and she is currently the vice chairperson of the company.

A few months ago, Chauhan had sold the Bisleri brand to the Tata Group for Rs 7,000 crore. Tata Consumer had canceled the deal due to "indecisiveness". Tata Consumer Products is a subsidiary of steel-to-salt conglomerate Tata Group, which was once led by Ratan Tata.
