Godrej Masterbrand alongwith four other Godrej Brands ranked as the most trusted brands of India by Trust Research Advisory’s Brand Trust Report 2019

MUMBAI: Brand Trust Report 2019,  is the result of a comprehensive primary research conducted on the proprietary 61-Attribute Brand Trust Matrix of TRA.  This year’s study involved 15,000 hours of fieldwork, covering 2,315 consumer-influencers across 16 cities in India, and generated 5 million data points and 9,000 unique brands, from which the top 1000 brands have been listed in this year’s report. Indian Statistical Institute is TRA’s statistical partner for the research methodology.

15 Godrej brands made an entry into the top 1000 list of  TRA’s Brand Trust Report, 2019.  Godrej  Masterbrand alongwith four other Godrej brands have been ranked No. 1 in their respective categories which is  a phenomenal achievement for the brand.  Godrej achieves unprecedented success this year by becoming the Most Trusted brand in the FMCG–Diversified Category taking the slot from earlier year leaders.

Godrej, the first company to introduce refrigerators  in India has also become India’s Most Trusted Refrigerator brand in 2019. The brand stands steady at the No.1 position in Furniture Retail with its Godrej Interio Brand as well. Among the most iconic is perhaps the product that Godrej started its business with – its locks have been a symbol of trust and security  for over 120 years, and feature as the Most Trusted Brand in the Locks Category  in BTR 2019. In fact, no other lock brand even makes it to the list. Godrej Properties has also been ranked 1st in the real estate category.

In addition, Godrej Aer is the 2nd in the Air Freshener Category; in the Hair Colour Category, its Godrej Expert Rich Crème ranks 2nd. Cinthol also ranks 2nd among Talcum Powder brands and has  also secured 4th rank among Washing Machines and in the Soap Category, Godrej has two soaps among 17 listed in Most Trusted list.

Commenting on the rankings,  Tanya Dubash, Executive Director and Chief Brand Officer at the Godrej Group, said, “Trust in a brand is one of the most valuable intangible assets in any business, more so with today’s consumers because of the multiple options that they have. It is extremely heartening that 15 Godrej brands have found place in the Brand Trust Report this year wherein the Godrej Masterbrand and four other Godrej brands have been ranked as category leaders.  This is a  validation that our journey in connecting with our 750 million customers in India is moving in the right direction.”

N. Chandramouli , CEO, TRA Research, commented, “This year has been a very exciting one for Godrej's entries into TRA's Brand Trust Report, 2019. Fifteen brands enter into the top 1000 list this year of which 5 are Category leaders. Godrej leads in FMCG diversified, beating earlier year leaders. Godrej refrigerators also lead in its category, as does Godrej Interio and Godrej Locks. Godrej Properties has become the leader in Real Estate and such a performance speaks volumes about the brands' salience in the customer's mind. Heartiest congratulations to Godrej on being able to build such strong trust relationships with its consumers”.
