Mumbai: GOAT Brand Labs, a homegrown D2C brands aggregator, has roped in Saumitra Kumar as the head of product, engineering and data science. Kumar brings with him over 12 years of experience, having worked in leading companies such as -Verizon and Sears, the most prominent being Amazon. He spent over five years at Amazon, where he was the engineering head of Amazon Prime.

India is in the thick of a D2C boom, with a lot of new brands and tech enabled brand solutions being launched and scaled. Amidst this, GOAT - a leading tech-led D2C brand aggregator with a strong portfolio of 20 brands including iconic ones like Chumbak and The Label Life; recently announced a strategic partnership with UK Based The Hut Group for their Ingenuity Platform. With Kumar joining their team, the company is looking to further boost its capabilities on the Tech front to scale these digital-first brands, both in India and Globally.
