MILAN, Italy, December 27, 2018 – Get your kicks with Italy at Eureka Park with a compact, autonomous delivery robot, drones, smart agritech, AI solutions…and these are just a few of the 60 technology solutions on display on the Italian pavilion at CES 2019 Eureka Park.

e-Novia , The Enterprise Factory in Milan has fielded six startups, spin-offs from local universities that are catching the attention of investors and business.

Your Autonomous Pony Express (YAPE): Winners of the prestigious ‘German Design Award’, this compact autonomous delivery robot is being tested by a major retailer in the USA, Europe and Asia. In Italy, YAPE is in test with industry partners as the last mile delivery solution of food and parcels. Equipped with HD video, each delivery robot is connected in real-time with the control room to ensure a secure operation.

The autonomous delivery robot can transport up to 30 kilograms. YAPE automatically open up when the designated person stands in front of it. Every YAPE can travel about 80 kilometers per delivery session.

This little postman uses both sidewalks and cycle paths. On sidewalks, max speed is about 6.5 kph. On a cycling paths, YAPE quickens to almost 20 kph. Collision-avoiding is through built-in cameras and sensors. This also allows for digitally mapping the city in real-time, and reporting holes, accidents and men at work.

e-Shock: integrates digital components with next generation sensors and mechanical elements of vehicles. The company is a technology leader in active suspension, traction control and single-track attitude estimation.

Blubrake: developed the first ABS in the world that can be integrated into the bike frame (both claasic as e-bikes). An ultralight electronic device, completely integrated into the bike frame, designed for cyclists who want the best performance in all conditions

WeArt: devices that enable tactile communication and augmented multimedia contents through touch. The WeArt mobile app record (and then to relive) a video augmented with a tactile content.

Systems of Tethered Multicopters (STEM): The multicopter system connects two or more drones through power cables, one of which is linked to a power supply. The energy provided by the cables allows unlimited flight time. The advanced control system, focusing on safety, has a high degree of automation; smart winches allow to automatically adjust the length of the tethers.

BluAgro: a plant stress monitoring system that supports the farmer in maximizing production and efficient use of resources.
