MUMBAI: Advertising industry veteran and powerhouse Amer Jaleel, chairman and group chief creative officer of MullenLowe Lintas Group, will deliver the keynote address at Indiantelevision.com’s BrandVid 2019. Amer follows in the footsteps of Havas Media Group CEO India and South East Asia Anita Nayyar, who addressed the summit as a keynote speaker in its debut edition in 2018.

The second edition of the summit will also comprise of the BrandVid Awards, which recognize the best in class brand films, brand integration and branded programming. From content studios in brand companies to advertising agencies to publishers, the BrandVid Awards seek to raise a toast to work that left audiences spellbound.

The theme for BrandVid’s 2019 edition, which is being hosted at Mumbai’s Westin on 21 June, is ‘Manoeuvring through the video maze’.

Amer began his career with Bates (then Clarion) in 1994.  He handled brands like Essar, Minolta and ITC. Amer created the iconic ‘positive attitude’ campaign while still a junior. He then moved on to Mudra Advertising in 1999 and worked on brands like McDonalds, Kinetic Auto and Indian Oil.

In 2002, Amer joined Lowe Lintas as a creative director and rose to become the national creative director. He’s widely acclaimed as the man behind the success of some of the most iconic brands managed by the agency.

As the global creative lead on Unilever’s Lifebuoy business, he has contributed disproportionately to the brand’s success over the past decade in India and across the world; built brands like Micromax and Havells from scratch into billion dollar plus businesses; and conceived and led the journey for Tata Tea’s ‘Jaago Re’ movement.

Amer’s portfolio over the years has also included some great work on Google, OLX, Maruti Suzuki, ICICI Prudential and Bajaj. More recently, the Lifebuoy initiative ‘Help a Child Reach 5’ was named among the most effective campaigns in the world (WARC 100, 2015).
