UN broadcast rights treaty comes for debate next year

As per the World Intellectual Property Organization (Wipo), a new proposal for an international agreement to protect broadcasting rights will be negotiated during a conference, which is scheduled to take place from 11 July to 1 August 2007.

Casbaa backs Wipo broadcast treaty

MUMBAI: The Hong Kong-based Cable & Satellite Broadcasting Association of Asia (Casbaa) has endorsed the conclusion of a treaty on the Protection of Broadcasting Organizations currently being negotiated (this round 17-19 November) in the World Intellectual Property Organization (Wipo).
