    MUMBAI: Building on its position as an independent television distributor, Starz Worldwide Distribution has finalised an international television distribution agreement with VH1 for the upcoming TV series ?Hit the Floor? previously known as ?Bounce?.

    The TV series will contain 10 one-hour episodes in its first season.

    Starz Worldwide Distribution, a division of Starz, will represent ?Hit the Floor? to all markets for television, excluding the US. The series will be available for licensing at the start of the television trade event MipTV, which runs from 8 to 11 April in Cannes, France.

    ?Hit the Floor? is a series that follows the lives and loves of the Devil Girls, the premier dance team for basketball team the Los Angeles Devils. When the stadium lights go up at night, all of Hollywood comes out to support the million dollar players. But in this city these men share the fame, adrenaline, money, sex and power with their dancers, the Devil Girls. The cast includes: Dean Cain, Kimberly Elise, Charlotte Ross and Taylour Paige.

    Viacom Media Networks executive VP, content and programme enterprises, entertainment and music groups Eddie Dalva said. "The series ?Hit the Floor? is VH1?s biggest scripted effort to date and should play extremely well to an international audience".

    MUMBAI: Starz Worldwide Distribution, the global licensing and content syndication arm of Starz, has bagged the broadcast rights for witty comedy series "Party Down" which will see the series coming to Esquire Network for US broadcast beginning in April.

    Starz Worldwide Distribution is a business of Starz and sells Starz Original series and other owned and licensed movie/TV programming domestically and worldwide. Formerly known as G4, Esquire Network will bring the iconic men?s brand to television as the definitive network for the modern, multi-faceted man.

    Starz retains select on-demand and online rights to the show during the license period.
