MUMBAI: Reliance Entertainment, the flagship media and entertainment arm of Reliance ADAG, has made a strategic investment in California-based Talenthouse, a platform for creative collaboration.

Reliance has also entered into a joint venture with the US outfit for the Indian market. The JV, named Talenthouse India, has appointed Arun Mehra as its chief executive officer.

Internationally, Talenthouse has been associated with artists like Paul McCartney, Lady Gaga, Maroon 5, Justin Timberlake, Rihanna, Naomi Campbell, Rod Stewart, Brett Ratner, Queen and Kylie Minogue to identify and provide a platform for fresh talent.

Talenthouse India will be based in Mumbai and will oversee growth and businesses in India and Southeast Asia. It will focus on nurturing fresh and creative talent in the country and provide opportunities for collaboration at international level as well.

Talenthouse will connect with artists across film, fashion, music, photography and art on collaborative projects and embrace artists at entry level.

"Talenthouse is a great unique offering which will change the dynamics of the Indian entertainment industry. It will help identify and leverage fresh talent from across the nation in various creative fields. It will also provide a great opportunity to brands to churn out innovative and creative brand solutions. We believe that as the digital medium proliferates in India, the creative and entertainment fraternity will embrace Talenthouse India to access and nurture new and upcoming talent," said Reliance Entertainment CEO (digital business) Rohit Sharma.

"Talenthouse is the world‘s fastest-moving platform for creative collaboration," said Talenthouse founder Amos Pizzey. "Our vision is to help all artists to be seen, heard, and compensated with the support of entertainment icons, creative professionals, and global brands. Talenthouse lets great art flow without boundaries."

Talenthouse India has already joined hands with Metallica@F1Rocks to hunt for a rock band to perform alongside Metallica.
