Submitted by ITV Production on May 03

Mumbai: Chhota Bheem and The Throne of Bali, featuring India?s very own animation superstar, was released today in three languages in over five hundred theatres across India. One of the largest ever-theatrical releases for an Indian animation film, the film has opened to packed audiences, as per initial feedback available.

Since the introduction of Chhota Bheem in an animation series in 2008, the character has become a phenomenon in India commanding a viewership of over 40 million. ?It is the only Indian kids show that, competing with the best of the world, has emerged as a clear winner enjoying a cult following among children. As a character, Chhota Bheem is likeable, obedient and has no bad habits. He is the appropriate idol for children personifying bravery, honesty, humility and helpfulness,? says Rajiv Chilaka, the Creator of Chhota Bheem character and Director of the film.

Sequel to Chhota Bheem and The Curse of Damyaan, the new movie features the adventures of Chhota Bheem and his friends at Bali. ?It is roller coaster of an adventure that is tailor made for children with a lot of surprises thrown in. We have introduced some new characters and added elements to some of the old ones. This is a film that will be driven by children, but one that will be equally enjoyed by adults,? discloses Samir Jain, Co-producer.

Chhota Bheem and The Throne of Bali stars Bheem, Arjun, Chutki, Indumati, Raju and Rangda (as animated characters). The film is directed by Rajiv Chilaka and co produced by Rajiv Chilaka and Samir Jain. Sunil Kaushik has given music, Rosauro B Adorable is the animation director, Shaan has sung the title song and Alka Amarkant Dubey is the Voice Director. Darshana Radhakrishnan & Teja Pratap have scripted the film.
