• Fox Traveller to launch 2nd season of Indian cuisine show

    MUMBAI: Lifestyle channel Fox Traveller will launch the second season of the Indian cuisine show, ?Twist of Taste with Vineet Bhatia?, from 28 October every Sunday at 9 pm.

    The chef traverses the county once again, in search of interesting local recipes, authentic flavours and some country style cooking. In the second season of ?Twist of Taste?, Vineet will travel even deeper into the country to cities like Varanasi, Calicut and Madurai.

  • Tricon to bring six new shows to Mipcom 2012

    MUMBAI: Tricon Films and Television has announced its slate for Mipcom 2012 featuring six new titles and over 35 new hours of scripted comedy, lifestyle, and factual content. New titles launching at Mipcom include:

    Comedy Bang Bang hosted by Scott Aukerman (co-creator/director/producer, and musical cohort Reggie Watts has character cameos, sketches, and nonstop comedic absurdity with some of the biggest names in Hollywood including Zach Galifianakis, Seth Rogen, Elizabeth Banks and Jon Hamm.

    Bunk! is a new breed of "comedy game show" in which a trio of comedians compete in a series of bizarre challenges to win surreal prizes. Each week, contestants are armed with nothing more than their wits and fertile imaginations as they complete offbeat games and challenges to win a myriad of "non-charitable causes" such as the ability to travel back in time, having a priest supply an alibi, and trading lives with a baby, all under the watchful eye of host Kurt Braunohler.

    I Didn?t Do It is a factual series that exposes the untold story (and personal tragedy) of wrongful convictions, one gut-wrenching case at a time. Narrated by Chris Noth I Didn?t Do It looks beyond the investigations to reveal the harrowing personal stories and long-awaited redemptions of those brought down by an imperfect justice system.

    Satan is a documentary that explores the role of the Devil in the modern age. It will trace his transformation from fallen angel to demonic beast to charismatic charlatan, showing how popular culture has influenced the public?s perception of the Devil?s presence on Earth. Featuring in-depth interviews with horror icons like John Carpenter, Linda Blair, Stephen King, Mike Mignola and Guillermo del Toro and musicians Bruce Dickinson, Jimmy Page, Rob Zombie and Marilyn Manson.

    Restaurant Takeover is a lifestyle series with a fresh take on Food Network?s Restaurant Makeover series, where two restaurant industry top guns help rescue a failing restaurant.

  • Dainik Bhaskar to have content access to Time Magazine and Harvard Business Review

    Mumbai: Dainik Bhaskar has tied up with Time Magazine and Harvard Business Review (management magazine) to provide their content to its readers on a regular basis.

    The "exclusive" content will feature in the Sunday edition of the Hindi-language newspaper.

    The daily newspaper has completely revamped its Sunday edition content with a focus on management lessons to be applied in day to day life.

    "It will contain wide spectrum of topics like health, fitness, career, self help, money management, politics, education, music, lifestyle, environment, good reads through columns by experts of the respective fields," the company said.

    Additionally, Dainik shall also provide a separate segment devoted to women. Also there will be a Sunday Jacket, above the regular front page of the newspaper which will carry exclusive news analysis and ground reports.

    Dainik Bhaskar group VP Sanjeev Kotnala said, "Our strategy revolves around being ahead of the curve. And hence the desire to enrich the reading experience and making it that much of joy - is our focus that directs us in our newspaper design. So, in addition to above changes, we do expect that the readers will appreciate the exclusive cartoons and photographs- that will not only bring smile to their faces but also help them focus and think."

    MUMBAI: Lifestyle channel NDTV Good Times is launching a new season of Highway on My Plate - Addas.

    Starting 27 May, the show will air every Sunday at 8 pm.

    Anchored by Rocky and Mayur, the season will take viewers down the memory lane, to the centre of every student?s universe - the canteen, their "favourite" Adda. The duo will uncover the ?best addas? across the country and the food, ingredients and traditions that make them special, in their signature style.

    MUMBAI: UTV Bindass, the youth channel from the UTV Group, is launching a new non-fiction drama series The Khan Sisters, which allows its viewers to take a sneak peek in to the real lifestyle of B-town sisters Gauahar & Nigaar Khan.

    Premiering on 19 November, the show will be aired every Saturday at 7 pm.

    The show consists of 13 episodes, showcasing a mixture of reality and drama. It brings to fore the lives the sisters lead in Mumbai, Delhi and Dubai- the love, the fights and the differences in their lives.

    UTV Bindass business head Keith Alphonso said, "The treatment of the show is refreshingly different from anything else that you would have seen before on Indian television.
