In an industry first, Airtel brings Amazon Prime benefits to Prepaid

MUMBAI: Amazon and Airtel have deepened their relationship by enabling Amazon Prime membership benefits for Airtel prepaid customers.

As part of its #AirtelThanks program, which brings a range of exclusive benefits to its customers, Airtel today launched a new prepaid bundle at INR 299 to offer 28 days of Amazon Prime membership at no additional cost along with 2.5GB data/day, unlimited calls to any network and 100 SMS/day.  Amazon Prime membership is also available to Airtel Infinity Postpaid Plans customers at no additional cost.

Smartphone customers recharging with the pack will get access to all Amazon Prime benefits that include the best  of entertainment and shopping: Prime Video, Prime Music, Prime Reading and unlimited free fast shipping on millions of items along with early and exclusive access to deals on Amazon.in. All of this to go with generous daily data quota that truly unlocks the smartphone experience on a world-class mobile network.

Airtel customers with the new prepaid plan, can enjoy unlimited video streaming anytime, anywhere of premium movies and TV shows on Prime Video including the latest and exclusive blockbuster Hollywood, Bollywood and Indian regional movies, top TV shows, stand-up comedies and kids programs. Members can also enjoy on Prime Video critically acclaimed Amazon Original series like Inside Edge, Breathe, Comicstaan, Mirzapur, Four More Shots Please! and recently released Made in Heaven, global Amazon Original series such as Tom Clancy's Jack Ryan, The Marvelous Mrs. Maisel, Homecoming, Hanna and more. Customers can buy this pack online on AirtelThanks app, airtel.in, Amazon.in and Amazon Pay or the nearest Airtel retail store. The Amazon Prime membership can be activated through AirtelThanks app. Access to Prime Video is available after downloading the Prime Video app on supported devices. Customers can sign-up for Amazon Prime anytime during the 28 day validity of the pack and use benefits till the pack expires. Upon expiry of the validity, the Amazon Prime and telecom benefits end. Customers can simply recharge with the same pack again to restart their Amazon Prime membership without having to sign in. 

After customers purchase the pack for the first time, Amazon Prime membership can be activated in three easy steps:

· Within minutes of purchasing the pack you get an SMS from Airtel to download the AirtelThanks app

· Download the Airtel app and click on the “Activate Prime” banner on the app homepage

· Login to Amazon from the AirtelThanks app with an existing Amazon account or by creating a new one and your Amazon Prime membership will be instantly activated.

Similarly, one can enjoy Playlists and Stations specially curated by Amazon’s music editors across moods, activities, genres, artists and decades, by downloading the Amazon Prime Music app and avail shopping benefits by logging in with their Amazon Prime account credentials on Amazon.in.
